POLICE POLICE, MARINES MARINE

I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.  - Oath of the President

During the early 1920s President Harding (Warren G.) and later in the 20s President Coolidge (Calvin) ordered U.S. Marines to protect the U.S. Mail.

Gangsters waged war on the rails and off (terminals and carriers).

Theft into the millions of dollars problematic to public safety and commerce - to civilized society.

Postal inspectors and law enforcement overwhelmed.

Feds to the rescue.

So, Marines deployed across the country - rode trains and stood guard at high-risk key terminals - to take on domestic enemies.

Secretary of the Navy Edwin Denby (U.S. Marine WWI) said, "When our men go as guards over the mail, that mail must be delivered, or there must be a Marine dead at the post of duty."

The problem stopped.

President Trump's recent action deploying military to cities being lost to civilian control and police and remarks as to using cities for training not so popular with critics - including some veterans.

Your attention, please.

The sworn oath of office to Constitution for all holding public office and military includes the duty, " ... support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic ... ".

Enemies domestic are overwhelming civilian control and police thereby threatening public safety and good order.

They're not protesting. Rioting. With tactics akin to combat.

Never do we want police - small town to big city - trained to conduct combat operations.

Police police.

Combat is a military core competency.

As Secretary of War Pete Hegseth reminded an audience of senior uniformed leadership a few days ago, your business is killing and breaking - efficiently and effectively as possible.

When Americans cannot go about life safely because local law and order cannot or will not protect them then time for federal intervention.

There's precedent, Mr. President. Order in the military; sending in U.S. Marines has history of success. Immediate success.

Marines Marine.

As brother Marine and longtime friend the late Colonel Mike Lowe told a Basic School class years ago during mess night remarks, " ... running into a Marine outfit in combat will be your worst nightmare ... ".

A hundred years ago, U.S. Marines stopped domestic enemies from stealing mail from carriers, terminals and on the rails.

U.S. Marines will immediately stop domestic enemies in cities that have come off the rails - with Secretary of the Navy Denby's vow germane.

Train as you fight; literally, figuratively.

It’s as simple as that. Any questions? Send in the Marines! The vast majority of Americans have had enough. Marines can kill and break things and…we can fix things too.
