Prepare while others are daydreaming. - William Arthur Ward
The Navy football team was prepared.
The midshipmen executed, per rehearsals.
And so it happened, defying forecasters nod to the cadets by a touchdown, future Army officers were beaten, convincingly, by better prepared future Navy and Marine Corps officers.
There's lesson for all - coaches, players, all future military officers, everyone - and not just about battles on a football field.
Battlefields; air, land, sea, space.
Prepare.
Execute.
Or else.
The game was not of (my) primary interest.
Leadership off field occupied thoughts.
Our President-elect and Vice President-elect (Marine) present.
Our sitting President and Vice President?
Not present.
Telling.
Our de facto President and Vice President, thirty-five days and a wakeup from taking oath, since 05 November have been influencing country and global matters with a significance their sitting predecessors would not; disastrous four years - moot whether deliberate or incompetence.
Daydreamers.
There was not losers inside that stadium.
The losers were outside.
Come 20 January, the nightmare ends.
Leadership is preparing.
Expect execution.
And wins.
Go America! Beat all challengers.

The only person happy about the past 4 years is Jimmy Carter. The national nightmare ends on 20 January.
