FLAG DAY TRIP REPORT: SIGNS AND FLAGS

FLAG DAY TRIP REPORT: SIGNS AND FLAGS

The American citizenry suffers the government tolerated. Their Constitution provides for remedy; voting, and courage when voting fails.

An empiricist cares nothing about politics.

An empiricist is objective - reporting, through senses, observations of reality; WIGO (What is Going On).

Facts.

And simple logic pertains. If this then that deductions and conclusions.

Truth.

We're just back from a recent trip north.

Not pressed too much for time, we meandered roads never traveled in North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Narrow roads, narrower bridges, hills, sharp turns, switchbacks, and scenic overlooks and a beautiful glimpse of America not possible from bypasses and interstates.

So as much as possible those back roads - some planned, some impromptu - never before traveled in all states. Small communities. Small towns. Bigger towns. City status, maybe. And indications of human presence here and there that make you wonder, "Why?"

All-in-all some 26 hours motoring over just shy of 2,000 miles with not a moment of boredom for so much to see.

We saw birds of prey, deer, and were surprised by a small black bear that hustled across the road right to left not 10 yards in front of us rolling along about 20 MPH through Walpack, NJ. Wild animals are quite something.

Granted, America just "celebrated" Memorial Day, today is Flag Day, and soon the 4th and fireworks coast-to-coast, but a lot of flags. A lot!

Flags - small to gigantic - decorated poles; homes; businesses; barns; cars; trucks; gravesites of veterans; t-shirts and ball caps, too.

Our Stars and Stripes proudly on display.

And there was something else noted.

That made me wish someone not familiar with America was along for the ride.

Trump.

Along those quiet back roads in every state, small communities, small towns, bigger towns, just shy of city status, and sites of human presence that make you wonder, "Why?" ...

Bumper stickers, signs and flags - small to gigantic - decorating poles; homes; businesses; barns; cars; yes, some gravesites; t-shirts and ball caps, too.

The biggest on sides of barns and warehouses hand-painted. One enormous with Stars and Stripes surrounding the word TRUMP.

Every state, it was impossible not to notice.

And, in every state, it was impossible not to notice the absence of anything bearing the name of our sitting President. Nothing. Not once. Not even sticker on a motor vehicle bumper. Peculiar. Why?

Stark the contrast.

Back to our passenger not familiar with America.

No question they would have asked, "Who is Trump?"

There's the short answer.

"He was the 45th President."

And there's the longer answer.

That continues, " ... but he was not reelected."

Which would surely would have led to the questions, "Why not? And who is the President?'

There's the short answer.

"He was voted out. Joe Biden won."

And there's the longer answer.

"The election was strange, a mess ... ".

Which would have raised the obvious question, "Where's the Biden signs and flags?"

Good question (that of an empiricist).

The empiricist's conclusion?

"Because he did not win."

Happy 75th Birthday!, President Trump.

God Bless America!

The truth will come out. The matter of the election is not at rest and will not stop. The truth must come out. Voter confidence is gone. Trump Won!

Like a festering, rotten, pus filled wound. Yes, the truth will come out.
