Mitt Romney?
Isn't that the rich guy who ran for president in 2012 and blew it?
Yeah, that's the guy.
What's he doing on TV delivering a speech criticizing Donald Trump?
Mr. Romney is as pathetic a soul as there is in America today. A sad case. He had opportunity to be president and he choked. He did not want to play hard ball with the big boys. That's a loser.
Now, with no real skin in the game, Mr. Romney, for all intents and purposes, cowers behind mother's apron strings and ridicules a rich big boy, the leading Republican candidate for president, who is playing hard ball - that's a winner - with the big boys?
But one question for Mr. Romney...
Why are you not, publicly and regularly, eviscerating the leading Democrat candidate for president, a criminal inevitably facing indictment, Hillary Clinton?
Until ready to critically speak about Mzz Clinton, sir, sit down, be quiet, and play with your soft ball gear.

While I agree whole heartedly with the points made in your commentary, I've got to believe there is something below the surface, that we don't know, that Mitt Romney does, which is prompting him to go after Mr. Trump. If not the case, then Romney is way out of line, and needs to get on his knees and beg forgiveness.
Tom, noted and a point duly considered. However, what overpoweringly reeks is timing. He's had months and months to engage. In the end, moot.
Romney said during that very speech:
'A person so untrustworthy and dishonest as Hilary Clinton must not become President. Of course, a Trump nomination enables her victory'
Has being beaten so badly by Obama twice really pushed Republicans to the brink of insanity? The rest of the world outside the 'Trump bubble' watches with a mixture of horror and amusement as an orange, reality TV star who was busy selling steaks at Sharper Image in 2007 inches closer to a general election with Hillary (with smart money betting on an absolute thumping for the GOP).

Colonel, I happened to be watching TV when Romney came on spewing his venom. I think he shot himself in the foot and gave Trump supporters even more reason to dig in their heels in protest of the “career politicians” who seem to accomplish virtually nothing. I also saw him when he choked in his debate with Obama. He had his chance and blew the movement. I’d like to see the answer to the question you posed regarding that criminal candidate. Hopefully an indictment is inevitable.

Bravo Zulu once again Andy. I did not see Romney make his comments, as you know I do not watch the news shows (entertainment). But when I read about it and saw the videos, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. The question of why now surfaced. I reckon this was the disjointed GOP pulling out all stops and bringing in what they must have thought was a "big gun." LOL They send in a loser to tell me who I should not vote for is hysterical if it were not so true. That made we Trump supporters even more dedicated, and convinced we are on the correct path. William Bennett may be on to something. The GOP will do everything and anything to stop Trump. Perhaps something more drastic than sending a loser into the ring. Now that he is down for the count, who is their next poor soul?
