Decisiveness
The first of this month I published commentary titled, Secretary Mattis Kicks The Transgender Accessions Can Down The Dirt Road. http://acoloneloftruth.blogspot.com/2017/07/secretary-mattis-kicks-transgender.html
Executive Summary: The Secretary of Defense gave the service chiefs another six months to settle their advice before he moved forward. That is, the Secretary decided to not decide. He kicked the can.
Yesterday our President kicked can.
Our President, God bless him, made the only sensible decision about nonsense.
No more transgenders (he announced on Twitter).
Good.
The entire spectrum of arguments counter to our President's decision moot and a waste of time to address.
Suffice to say a fat handbook, complementary training time (that must be taken from core readiness training), and who knows what other costly (not just dollars) modifications and adaptations required to force the force into submission and acceptance is not only not a force warfighting prowess multiplier but a distraction.
Our President's order clear - in line with the Marine Corps leadership trait: Decisiveness. Look it up.
So, time now for Secretary Mattis ...
to not get mad, not dog our President's decision, and, too, to kick can - salute and carry out his President's orders; smartly with a full and happy heart.
Next?
Mr. President, get women out of ground combat MOSs.
And, Sir, to save you, and the Defense Secretary, time here's all the counsel necessary - a battle hardened Marine's blunt though eloquent testimony before Congress: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy--whDNNKk
Sir, we await your tweet.
