Per The Merriam-Webster Dictionary...
In-teg-ri-ty: n 1 : adherence to a code of values : INCORRUPTIBILITY 2: SOUNDNESS 3 : COMPLETENESS
Integrity, one of the 14 U. S. Marine Corps leadership traits, defined: Integrity means that you are honest and truthful in what you say and do. You put honesty, sense of duty, and sound moral principles above all else.
Amongst Marines, integrity is considered the most important of traits in a leader - the most important of traits in a Marine. For without integrity you have nothing.
Keeping abreast of the Obama Administration scandals, and that's what they are scandals (and crimes), the trait of integrity has crisscrossed my thinking more times than I can count.
That Obama Administration folks are lying to protect Obama Administration liars is stunning (not surprising) - especially when considering the folks doing the lying are running (albeit into the ground) our country.
It's wrong!
Per the Obama Administration, "Integrity" has been transformed into an action-plan acronym - INTEGRITY.
Their acronym INTEGRITY defined...
I : "I don't know."
N : "No idea. No awareness."
T : "Talk to the hand."
E : "Everyone is out to get me and us."
G : "Go after our enemies."
R : "Run for cover."
I : "Ignore all questions."
T : "Tell lies, lies, and more lies."
Y : "Yell 'racism' when all else fails."
The current players have INTEGRITY down pat. And so do their defenders and protectors. Scoundrels all - they deserve each other.
Words - it all depends on how you define them. And that is a truth - ask Mr. Clinton. And his Mrs., too.
Sorry, President Obama, "There is a there, there." And surely there are more "there(s)."
And if there is anything left that's right about America, men and women with integrity are going to get to the bottom, and to the top, of it all, and all the other nonsense, too.
For without integrity you have nothing. Without integrity America is nothing. And that just cannot be.
Enough already. Enough!

Mark Styne said it best today: "We are being run like a banana republic right now." These are truly dangerous times for our country.
Andy...as we have discussed on more than one occasion, the value of humility and its essential role in leadership is glaringly absent in this administration. Indeed, rather than humility, we observe blatant arrogance, from the C-in-C on down through multiple cabinet Secretaries, the AG and IRS...the list goes on. And we are surprised our country's values and focus are going to hell in a handbasket??
As you are given to express, "Good grief!!"
