Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet.  - Nhat Hanh

In yesterday's mail arrived note and enclosure from long-time reader who, for whatever reason, concluded I'd decided to step away from writing but then realized there was recent commentary so mistaken.

Closing in on 18 years, with plenty to opine on this, that, the other, and another, not quite ready to chisel the right side of the hyphen.

But one day for time more valuable than any precious metal, gem, or silly prose.

I walk more and these days while listening to smooth jazz.

I chalk more on the community greenway - realizing what's actually happening is not only fun but chance to educate, teach, and remind.

That is, the old schoolhouse blackboard and new school whiteboard has moved to the asphalt greenway with an old school tool; and without teacher having to manage a room of students.

Strangers who've happened by while laying chalk confess to having altered their walks to keep up with the latest - by me, by the kids.

To point, yesterday's chalk idea came to me a few weeks ago while afoot listening to jazz. First, the word play. But how best to design unresolved. With rough idea, drawing emerged.

Nearly finished a neighborhood acquaintance walking pooch paused and said, "Now that brings back a lot of memories."

I figured children and younger folks would just see five clowns. That was the case.

A happy mother texted me this afternoon that she's been googling KISS to familiarize her not yet double-digits children with the band and music. Perfect! That's the goal.

Kiss carried into the evening.

Last night in a community theater in quaint downtown Fuquay-Varina local talent put on Little Women the Musical.

Familiar with the book and stage play but not read nor patronized the theater, not sure what to expect.

Seats four rows back center stage; close enough to read faces.

The woman cast as Jo March (one of four sisters) was confident, dynamic, and vocal powerhouse; she'd shine on the biggest of stages.

The other nine actors superb! But Jo - the gem.

Though there was a bit of clowning around, Bozo nowhere to be seen. Not so much as mentioned. And that would have been odd - for not having been invented in the 1860s.

The evening reinforced, again, why we support local theater; citizens (not just actors but the behind-the-scenes folk) who pour hearts, minds, souls, and talents into their passion; lucky we with little or no talent.

I voted (early) last week (Tuesday coming election day) for three state offices. We apply KISS rule: Get familiar with candidates, compare and contrast, settle, vote. Important duty. A sticker when done.

Kiss their ass goodbye - well, that's been happening to narco terrorists running boats and that happened in Iran yesterday. Problematic senior leadership was confronted by an American President of action.

For decades, the D.C. clown network has declared, "Iran is but weeks away from a nuke."

Not anymore.

And since Bozos aplenty losing their minds.

I've not paid much more attention.

Not for not caring but for being at peace we finally have a President, and Cabinet, that says exactly and clearly what they intend and they do it.

Leadership; embraces KISS.

The only three words out of Barack Obama's kisser that made sense ... "Elections have consequences."

Yes they do.

How do I know President Trump is doing God's work for America?

Ever under attack from political opponents; media; kooks, quacks, and whackos; et al.

Sweet music.

Kiss your kids, and grandkids, goodnight.
