We have to teach goodness to our infants.  - Charlie Kirk

Erika Kirk replied to her and Charlie's inquisitive barely 3 years old daughter, " ... daddy loves you so much. Don't you worry. He's on a work trip with Jesus so he can afford your blueberry budget ... ".

That intimate moment between mother and daughter included near the end of public remarks a few evenings ago.

Erika framed her answer in the context of their family's Christian faith and related daddy's absence to her daughter's fondness for blueberries.

As only a mother could do. Brilliant!

Her child's curiosity satisfied.

For now.

The murder of Charlie Kirk has not been an obsession with me but he and family, especially after Erika's words, have occupied thinking during walks. [I believe because 13 years ago a family member was murdered in their home. Alive one moment. Senselessly slayed the next. The closeness of such horror is always near. And because my maternal half is Kirk.]

Being an international public figure, recognized most everywhere, and controversial knowing himself a target, I wondered during walk yesterday if Charlie Kirk might have made and stowed video marked: Open Upon My Death

In so many words ...

A light but sincere few minutes looking directly into the camera speaking to his children.

Explaining how much he loves them.

And though he was not expecting a call one came from God about a work trip with Jesus.

It's one of those calls a Christian is obligated to take - you always say yes to God.

So listen to and help mommy and love her with all your heart.

Be good. Be strong. Be brave.

Say your prayers.

I am always watching over you - day and night.

God said we'll be together again one day.

Love you with all my heart. Daddy.

The children can watch over and over. And over.

For life - reuniting after death; happy and at peace for Eternity.

The killing of Charlie Kirk has already proved opposite intent - to silence.

He now roars - like 'the shot heard round the world.'
