A FEW GOOD MEN

A FEW GOOD MEN

Duty is the essence of manhood.  - George S. Patton

A few words about a few good men ...

Yesterday I watched practically all coverage of the House Committee on the Weaponization of Government.

Subduing (my) seething anger was a deep to-the-bone chill.

Three FBI agents offered opening statements and answered questions.

"Whistleblowers" - disclosing corruption.

Agents Marcus Allen, Stephen Friend, and Garrett O'Boyle, for their commitment to oath of office and sense of duty, are good men. Men of integrity. Men of character.

For reporting corruption, initially within their chain of command, they have been harassed, stripped of security clearances, punished, reassigned, suspended, lost wages, and god knows what else.

And their hell for being truthful is not over.

But they command the high ground.

And not losing sleep for the wrong reasons.

Duty is action.

Duty requires commitment, judgment, sacrifice, and courage - always moral, sometimes physical.

Obedience to wrong is cowardice.

And there's the matter of treason.

If you missed the hearing, Google and watch; citizen's duty to know what is going on.

[Sidebar revelation - the FBI did not want 06 January footage from the Capitol released because so doing would compromise the identity of federal agents, informants, et al. I'll refrain from insulting anyone's deductive reasoning intelligence.]

Some objective conclusions ...

1. The agents (Allen is too a Marine and Sailor with two tours in Iraq) were telling the truth (Why else would they be willing to lose everything while putting themselves and families through such misery?);

2. Democrat committee members unmasked themselves, for all intents and purposes, as domestic enemies (Their job is to be objective, to probe for facts not attack witnesses and default as hostile defense counsel for the FBI nor corrupt politicians);

3. The FBI is out of control (One committee member boldly calling out names - citing Merrick Garland (DoJ), Christopher Wray (FBI), et al., as corrupt);

4. Who polices the FBI? And DoJ?;

5.  To those so casually espousing 'the good men and women' of the FBI, a question ... Why was there not thousands, tens of thousands, of FBI agents reporting the corruption and queued to testify? Ignorant? Abetting? Fearful? Why not put all under oath?

6. Who is being recruited by the FBI and what are they being taught at the Academy?;

7. Etc.

This is not complicated.

If the majority within the FBI good, then the corrupt would not be. Ever. For good people do not tolerate bad behavior much less bad people.

It's bad, seriously bad, chilling to-the-bone bad, when there's no other sane conclusion than the majority corrupt.

There's not much to say.

Yet one voice can make a difference.

Now, what will you do?

I have been watching the recordings of these hearings and following the commentary of both sides of the aisle. I also know several current and former Agents, most honorable and faithful to their oath. And I lived a comparable situation as these whistleblowers. When I was a police officer, the brass of my department was corrupt. Two other officers and I were fighting for our promotions and veterans' benefits permitted by law. When I was injured in an on-duty traffic accident, I caught the brass committing felonies to cheat me out of salary and benefits. When I filed a grievance with my FOP, they requested a criminal investigation. The CID Investigator reported crimes were committed, but nobody else in the department would give statements as they all feared retaliation. The political control in that Township has changed over the years and the leadership first went to an outsider from Philly PD and now has a Chief who was trained by the Philly leader. It is now a professional department that I would be proud to work for.

Great piece Colonel. We learned one thing about the FBI. There are only three agents who have any semblance of courage. All the rest? Cowards. Kinda sounds like the GOs in the Marine Corps.
Barrow sends.

Great article Andy. Majority must be corrupt or simply cowards. Might they randomly call a few or many and question them under oath. Anyway, the question remains, who polices the police. In our third world country the answer is . . no one. As far as Rob's comment, I concur fully. Where are the righteous, someone please enlighten me.
