Over this morning's first cup of coffee - a link in an email prefaced with: "Col, Good read. As you say, we are not in the club."

The article non-fiction - facts with logical conclusions; truth we know simply codified. Common sense.

Simply, in summary, the Principles of War (addressed in recent commentary), and then some, have been turned on America by "Americans."

Our Constitution and way of life is in a ruthless 360 fight.

As fair is neither a Principle of War nor moralistic variable fighting and surviving, a general question then a question for our commander-in-chief ...

Is President Trump a (unprecedented) warrior and savior?

If so ...

President Trump, why, Sir, have you not seated an (true) Attorney General, cleaned house at the DOJ, and rightfully ordered counterattack - the arrest of criminal (violating oath of office, for mere starters) 'enemy' combatants, beginning with your predecessor?

Started in 2008 at the urging of friends but only as a six-months trial to determine public interest, A Colonel of Truth has run since without interruption only because of readers like you. And only for remarkable growth in readership - worldwide - is it we continue.

To date, our site ad and pop-up free. But with growing readership - that is, site traffic - comes all sorts of outfits inquiring about ad space. Capitalism is a wondrous thing and that revenue stream tempting because, after all, nothing is free and there is hidden costs in this commentary business.

Through the years, generous readers have asked about donating to support the cause. Politely, we declined. And to date we've dismissed the idea of restricting site access to a membership structure. But it's a different day.

Considering recent requests to donate and weighing those pesky and draining hidden costs of publishing, we recently decided contributions, of any amount, welcome and appreciated - to keep the site in the open (not restricted to membership) while ensuring an uninterrupted quality reading experience.
