As our government shutdown marches on this morning a fraction of a headline on a reputable online news outlet caught my eye - "dysfunctional DC."

That led to a question and a thought ...

1. From whom and where did President Trump (when candidate) come up with the campaign trail soundbite "drain the swamp"?

2. Washington, D. C. is not a swamp.

A swamp is a natural ecosystem, gifted by God, that functions perfectly.

Washington, D. C. is a sh-thole, made by man, that functions every way but perfectly.

Nature adapts.

Sh-tholes worsen.

Mother Nature has the swamps.

God, help us!
