HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE TOPS KNUCKLEHEAD

Beyond a doubt truth bears the same relation to falsehood as light to darkness. - Leonardo da Vinci
Seconds in and at first close up, how surprised were the Chinese to see Tim "Knucklehead" (his moniker not mine - under stress true self disclosed) Walz's left coat lapel adorned with U. S. flag pin?
To Walz's right stood opponent J. D. Vance, too sporting U. S. flag lapel pin in similar position but that's always in place.
I watched the entire debate.
Objectively ...
The words "could" and "might"come to mind.
They are not synonyms.
What I saw, clearly ...
J. D. Vance could be President.
Should anything whatsoever incapacitate Donald Trump, capable deputy ready.
Tim Walz might be President.
Might does not mean could.
Should anything whatsoever incapacitate Kamala Harris (who isn't a Vice President and couldn't be President), disaster of deputy not ready.
Admittedly, I am partial to Marines.
J. D. Vance tackled and conquered recruit training aboard the Parris Island depot.
With three years in a training battalion supervising drill instructors I know exactly what J. D. Vance achieved - title "Marine" complemented with Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem (handed him by Senior Drill Instructor) is earned never gifted.
To that (completing 13 weeks of training), I know J. D. Vance is disciplined, mentally and physically tough, calm under pressure, confident facing the most challenging of circumstances, unflappable, capable of taking the lead, will not ever quit, and is of the character - mind, body, spirit - to succeed, to lead.
Tim Walz is a bit more than suspect. All I know about Army recruit training is it's not Marine Corps recruit training.
He was not truthful about deployments. He was not truthful about weapons carried. He was not truthful about rank. And just before debate it was reported and confirmed he was not truthful about being in China during the Tiananmen Square protests [though he repeated time and again through the years his alibi to last night's questioning moderator was he "misspoke"].
To date, the only truth that can be said about Tim Walz is he is not truthful on most everything. And that is not an especially endearing quality about anyone - public servant or not.
Serendipitously, Sunday afternoon I attended a live theater production of 'The Addams Family' - a musical.
Those old enough to recall, the Addams Family - all of them - kind of creepy. Weird.
Tim Walz would have been right at home on stage; an adopted family member - "Knucklehead" (kin of Fester, Itt, Lurch, and Thing).
I can see J. D. Vance in the White House.
I cannot see Tim Walz in the White House; nor any servant of 'we the people' house - ever.

Good one Andy. I missed the debate; had a Trustee meeting church and Nancy was busy watching WNBA playoffs. LOL. Anyway, like what you posted, do you mind if I post a link to your blog on mine? Were the moderators better than those &^$%#'s at ABC?
