Heck, what's a little extortion among friends. - Bill Watterson
The American left operates from a simple and incredibly effective vantage: Accuse the other guy of being a carrying on criminal, though they're not, whilst carrying on as the very criminal as those accused.
Brilliant!
Double down, as required.
But there's a critical variable for success: Stupidity.
And so America is blessed; abundantly.
We live proof.
Freedom is a wonderful thing.
Stupid is a choice. No one can make you be smart.
And the life mission of some is to ensure the production, sustainment, and growth of stupid.
There's more critical variables for success: Amorality, Ignorance, and Cowardice.
All abundant, too.
There's more still but enough for today's point.
Russia's Mr. Putin is proving a quick study of this western anti-American model.
He invaded Ukraine.
In other words, war under the explanation of keeping peace.
Sweet as it is hilarious!
War and Peace.
Not to insult but for the benefit of the stupid, that's the title of a Russian novel by Leo Tolstoy published more than 150 years ago.
'War, What is it Good For' was the original title; according to Jerry - who's not German but a Jew (not that there's anything wrong with that) - Seinfeld: Comedian.
Only somewhat paying attention to the macro of this international skit, and it's a skit of the first order, mostly while listening to talk radio in the car traveling to tend to far more important duties, today's play on words title struck me funny.
Not to insult but for the benefit of the stupid, blitzkrieg is a word used to describe a particular military doctrine combining speed, armor (tanks), mounted infantry, and aviation to surprise and overwhelm an enemy. The term is typically associated with the German army and operations during World War II though they did not use the word. [Note: This sort of warfare was, not so long ago, within the capability of the U. S. Marine Corps but is not anymore for shedding core combat capabilities. Bewildering, and stupid, in the mind of many a Marine.]
Not to insult but for the benefit of the stupid, 'Puttin' on the Ritz' was a song written and published 93 years ago by Irving Berlin who did not hail from Germany but Imperial Russia.
No, I'm not making this up.
The traditional Ritz cracker, invented about the same time Mr. Berlin scored and published his famous tune, has seven holes for good reason. That's another commentary. I could say the holes correlate to the seven seas and seven continents but that would be ridiculous speculation. Stupid.
The slang 'to put on the Ritz' means to dress rather fashionably or to the nines.
Mr. Putin is a snappy dresser.
And he's a shrewd practitioner of politics.
He just wants peace.
The stupid believe him.
The amoral, ignorant, cowardly fear him.
What more possibly need be said?
Let's go, Brandon!

Refreshing and directly to the point. You even managed to force a few smiles out of a grumpy old besterd today. Thanks. DenO
