All things truly wicked start from innocence. - Ernest Hemingway
Allegations (usurping the Commander-in-Chief) against General Milley, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, serious.
Mark Twain, who detested the abused word "very," would likely say "damn serious."
Known to me is only that read and heard - through bi-polar reporting and gobbledygook "defenses" offered by media, military, and political figures.
Horsefeathers!
No more so than the most junior enlisted, General Milley does not, contrary to popular belief, enjoy exemption from law, punitive articles in the Uniform Code of Military Justice, nor sworn oath.
That is, he, too, is subject to good order and discipline.
General Court Martial (GCM) is the proper forum to present violations, charges, facts, and a defense before judge and jury (seat from the retired 4-star ranks) to determine guilt or innocence.
If innocent, General Milley nary a care in the world.
There is no other (formal) way to clear his name.
If found guilty, "damn serious."
Sentencing another conversation.
First things first, GCM.
For now, lengthy commentary inappropriate.
Silence is friend; as right is afforded the accused.

We have fallen a long way from men who pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. Now we have men conspiring against a sitting President and colluding with an enemy. How these matters are addressed will foretell our future. LtCol Scherer is right. Who will be held accountable?
