MEMO TO THE WHITE HOUSE - FOR THE PRESIDENT

"The American people never carry an umbrella. They prepare to walk in eternal sunshine." Alfred E. Smith
Mr. President,
It's doubtful that anyone, including the Commandant of the Marine Corps, will have the courage, the commitment, to so honor and inform you.
But since witnessing and thinking about your out-of-doors appearance at the White House earlier this week, the only words that do not escape me are, "You look ridiculous. You look beneath a United States president."
Anyone but a uniformed U. S. Marine.
Better yet, hold your own umbrella.
Frankly, class would have been grabbing the umbrella and walking over to hold it over yourself and your Turkish guest. Contemplate that powerful photo op.
Maybe next time.
Not surprising, the U. S. Marine is the one who comes across with dignity and bearing - of him (and our fellow Marine out of picture to your right), I am proud.
Sir, candidly and with all due respect, you desperately need new advisers.
Semper Fidelis!
Post Script
Happy Armed Forces Day!

Perfect!
Rob Barrow - Marine.
Amen!
Well stated; I believe the second umbrella is out of sight; it covers the TelePromter.
Character counts, these characters have none.

This photo perfectly encapsulates the President's opinion of the United States military.
Most clueless (and careless, I might add) President ever!
I can only add to the previous comments - the sight of those two splendid Marines holding umbrellas for that moron and his guest disgusted me to me very core. By all rights - Obama should be holding the umbrella for the Marines.
even the Queen of England holds her own umbrella. Show a little class Mr President
