A couple mornings ago I was startled awake by five words: My country tis of thee.
Deep in long-term memory, I first sang that opening phrase as a child in grade school - standing in formation semi-circle around the flag pole - after classmates raised colors.
Love of country and patriotism each morning before school work.
I picked up the clock and hit the light button: 0200.
My wife sound asleep.
Next thought: Sweet land of liberty.
And then came rest of the lyrics.
So much for sleep.
I went to our library to read.
I do not have intentions of writing comprehensive nor exhaustive takes on current events. [Just too busy with far more important duties.]
There are others, many compensated handsomely, with more time on their hands and talent filling that need.
Rather, wave top sentiments.
Afghanistan.
Where to start?
How about with simple questions from the macro?
How could it not be on purpose?
The American citizenry is to believe all the highly educated, trained, and experienced elected civilians, military, contractors, advisors, et al., working the two decades long war could not do better?
What does that say about our safety and security here?
Mull it over.
Circling on social media yesterday was a photo (still trying to confirm not PhotoShop) of Taliban reenacting, that is mocking with their colors and aping pose, the iconic moment/photo (by Joe Rosenthal) of U. S. Marines raising an American flag atop Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima.
When then Secretary of the Navy, James Forrestal, saw the flag, "Holland [General Smith], the raising of that flag on Suribachi means a Marine Corps for the next five hundred years."
Well, a mere 46 years later a retired Marine commandant (World War II vet) testified before the Senate Armed Service Committee that proposed social changes (i.e., women in combat) would destroy the Marine Corps. That is, a foreign enemy could not destroy the Marine Corps but Congress can.
Less than thirty years later, for sundry social (modern lingo: woke) changes, that forecast has been realized; making Secretary Forrestal more than a few centuries optimistic.
But that flag-raising in Afghanistan (if real), atop whatever high ground, means a "Taliban" for the next 5,000 years; now outfitted with American gear and weaponry a jump start. Vaccines.
During radio news segment Friday morning was report the vaccines are effective for about eight months and a third injection now necessary to strengthen effectiveness.
Right.
Soon comes fourth, fifth, sixth.
"Fully vaccinated" are not only contracting covid and dying but believed developing a strain unique to the vaccinated.
So much for the Hippocratic oath.
But that's not deterring the continued strong-arming (pardon pun) to vaccinate (the healthy who can easily defeat the virus) and in some states requiring proof of being stuck in order to dine out.
Yet the same force storming to compel vaccination rebel against voter identification.
How is it that trespassing our southern border is easier than a citizen supporting a local eatery?
It's not too difficult to figure out agenda.
06 January 2021 at the Capitol.
The FBI has concluded there's not evidence of a planned insurrection.
Well, no kidding.
Anti-Trump'ers clad in Trump gear; FBI agents in civvies; police escorting and directing "breachers" (to date, more than 500 arrested and charged) none of which possessed a firearm; etc.
Not planned.
But (logically) planned. And they killed an unarmed woman. The label "insurrection" not per definition.
In contrast, consider had hundreds or thousands of armed, trained citizens planned and carried out their operation; referencing Constitutional authority?
A different day; aligning with a Thomas Jefferson thought about that necessary to refresh freedom.
President.
According to his Press Secretary, Joe Biden has been on vacation.
But I know respite care when I see it.
An Alzheimer's patient is diagnosed.
Family, friends, and handlers suffer the disease; and need the breaks.
To watch President Biden in public would be (sick) comedy were he other than president. Terrifying, really. And he can't help it.
Would any corporate board of directors retain him as CEO?
Ground truth.
I wander our community, town, and county.
I speak with strangers most everywhere.
And consider "reports" from family and friends living elsewhere coast to coast.
I observe and digest reality as much as possible forsaking labels.

What is really going on?
Cowardice?
Treason?
No nonsense bottom line analysis and concise conclusions, not to be misinterpreted, is the only way.
Thus, six-words short stories, per Ernest Hemingway, easily recalled; especially if powerful.
America is under attack; self-destruction.
Then last evening came six words from another - the short of a long, angering story ...
"Every thing woke turns to shit."
That's the memorable bumper sticker.
Trump that, if you can.

We've had our " lines probed" during the successive terms of presidents ( during our modern history) since Harry Truman up until "Bush 41", but NO ONE ever questioned their loyalty. "They" finally made it through the wire under the watch of the vile William J Clinton and his amoral spouse, Hillary. It was then that we succumbed to the attacks facilitated by a repugnant couple that put their greed and avarice ahead of the country that W. clinton had taken an oath to lead and uphold the Constitution of. His sale of the " super computers" to our biggest rival, against the advice of almost all of his cabinet members and advisors , seared into my brain that this mutt had sold us out and he was without a doubt handsomely rewarded, as the clintons will do nothing unless richly compensated for their crimes. The missile technology that was lifted from Los Alamos around the same time could strongly be associated with it, as that top secret facility was packed with chinese " scientists" ( CCP all) working there. I guess that I wasn't supposed to worry though, when the top secret files were " found a few months later after they had fallen behind a copier". That's the type of b.s. story a first or second grader would come up with, yet no one was concerned. I don't recall anybody in government or the media, even bothering to ask the most obvious question: " WTF would those documents be doing within a hundred yards of a " copier" ?? !! Not even a yawn was generated. From that point on, I thought that we were finished. Hapless " W", followed by the unctuous obama, who at least told us that he was going to " change things", and he did so to the cheers of the left, and more yawns of the fake republicans of the "globalist deep state" ( that doesn't exist,). Our one shot at at least putting the brakes on our descent was framed , attacked, and was the victim of the REAL armed insurrection that started in 2016 and continues to this day. The corrupt DOJ and it's agencies resorted to perjury, lies, Russian kgb agents, British intelligence and anything else that they could drum up. One of the biggest disappointments was a " special investigation" headed by a former Marine officer ( "they" repeated that ad nauseam) that apparently, at least to me, had left that life about 50 years earlier and fell, deeply compromised ,into the tempting grip of the DC corrupters. Although he was the main force of the investigation, he suffered embarrassment and ignominy when he couldn't recite nor at times even recognize the report he claimed to have written. Another fraud exposed and reputation ruined. They continued their full scale attacks, not even stopping after his term was up. ( An election stolen. Brazenly, in our faces, with no fear of retribution for their crimes ) Then the unthinkable...a lifelong, corrupt, degenerate, slug was installed by the marxist swamp rats, and our crash dive is in progress since Jan 21, 2021. The damage done to us is without a doubt deliberate. He must be stopped. They all must be stopped, as the clock is running out and the naive joke of " wait till the midterms" is meaningless. It'll be over by then. ( sorry for being so "windy" , but my frustration is totally at the max)
