The backbone of surprise is fusing speed with secrecy. Carl von Clausewitz

President Trump, yesterday morning during a phone call with the governors, chided for being weak; dominate, to restore order.

Then, yesterday late afternoon during remarks from the Rose Garden, President Trump warned (yes, warned) of using military forces to restore order if the governors could or would not.

Contradictory?

That innocent people and police officers continue to be assaulted (injured and killed); public (including federal e.g., monuments and war memorials) and private property vandalized and destroyed; arson; looting; day after day is not America.

Mister President, probable counsel from von Clausewitz ...

Surprise.

Order, now, the force necessary to restore order (bullets and bayonets [mere presence] solve what rubber rounds and flash bangs cannot).

Otherwise, in your words, appear weak, look the jerk (as a governor).

Principles of War.

Principles of Peace, if you will.

Surprise, fusing speed with secrecy.

Show backbone.

Dominate.

Lead!

Else lose; possibly more than the presidency.
