Without a Coca-Cola life is unthinkable.  - Henry Miller

Marketing slogans that came to mind the past few days ...

It's the real thing.

Coke adds life.

Things go better with Coke.

Have a Coke and a smile.

Coca-Cola. Enjoy.

The Coke side of life.

With these and other catchy words, long-held stock made some money.

Now Coke's latest ...

"Try being a little less white."

When first hearing (of this internal training) on radio news, came, in order, flashback from high school, thought, and flashback from college ...

Flashback ...

Charles, smiling and laughing, "Donnie is too cool to be black."

Charles black Donnie white (trying too hard to be a whole lot less white). [Charles did not say "black" rather the offensive variant.]

Thought ...

Well, that's not going to be good for profits. How about Coke trying to be less stupid.

Flashback ...

No Coke, Pepsi.

Can Coke (is not Coke can).

But Coke has not cornered the stupid market.

Too on radio was report from California there's move to levy hefty fines on brick and mortar stores that segregate toys by gender.

Good grief.

Step away from the Coke (Kool-Aid is so yesterday). And coke.

And then last evening before retiring while scrolling on social media good old Mr. Potato Head will soon be just Potato Head.

Two thoughts ...

Too drop Mrs.

Call her "Sweet Potato" - "I da ho" is just not going to work.

And change color to something human-neutral. Green, maybe.

Try to be less white?

Foke you, Coke!

I've not seen Charles (nor Donnie) in 46 years but bet he agrees.

Black, Brown, White, Whatever ... try to use the gray (matter) and be less stupid. Never mind the unthinkable, think.

Oh, clearly, Henry Miller is not familiar with Cheerwine - best soft drink ever concocted (Salisbury, NC).

"Cheeburger, cheeburger. No Coke, Pepsi. Cheeps" [Sounds from The Olympic Restaurant - SNL.]

Etc. (Because there is always more.)

Have a great weekend!
