Nonsense and noise will oft prevail, when honor and affection fail. - Robert Lloyd

06 January 2021 is not a day that will live in infamy.

Today, I listened to soundbites from President Biden and Vice President Harris attempting to make that absurd case - comparing the date to true infamous disasters, attacks by determined enemies using airplanes to drop bombs and as bombs, in American history - 07 December and 11 September. Thousands killed in each attack. Our enemies not remorseful.

So ...

Nonsense!

Noise!

I was not in Washington, D. C. that day a year ago but a few things about it irrefutable.

Six points I care about ...

1. What was reported to the American people is not what happened. There was no determined enemy. There was no attack. There was not airplanes. There was not bombs. And thousands were not killed.

2. No insurrectionist worth his grits (old-fashioned or quick) shows up without weapon(s), plenty of ammunition (if the weapon(s) so requires), and a take-no-prisoners attitude.

3. The sole person killed was an unarmed female shot, unnecessarily, by a police officer.

4. Continuing to emerge facts reveal a government planned and facilitated, complete with agents in costume ordered to instigate, operation.

5. What led to the breach? Citizenry anger. And that justified anger was over what happened on Tuesday, 03 November 2020. That was Election Day and voting was stopped in the middle of the night in a handful of states to, as it turned out, secure a Biden/Harris win. That, by no standard of honor and affection constitutes legitimacy.

6. As to point 5., keep in mind that on Tuesday, 08 November 2016 - Election Day - voting was not stopped in the middle of the night to ensure a Trump/Pence win. That is a fact. And fact not brought up near often enough in conversation. That goes to legitimacy.

All else is nonsense, noise.

Regrettably, my late, technically brilliant, intelligent in most everything serious to silly dad was long dead before the 2020 election.

But I well know exactly his relaxed posture, penetrating facial expression, and cutting words to anyone attempting to defend the Biden/Harris win as legitimate and the breach of the Capitol as anything other than a government led circus ...

Back in recliner, fingers interlaced with hands tucked under chin, listening patiently and when the nonsense and noise has ended, in reply, "My aching ass."

Exactly, dad.

My aching ass.

Excellent! The truth will eventually be revealed, just like the Russian hoax.

Perhaps you are correct John as it would be nice for it all to be revealed. But then, what good would it do other than make us feel a little better for a little while. This country is currently so corrupt and a large portion of our population (by latest polls, 35%) have lost their collective minds. That is if they ever had one.
