WE DON'T CARE

WE DON'T CARE

Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try! Dr. Seuss

We don't care ...

President Trump totes and dotes mop of strange hair
nor do we care range of high-class wear.

We don't care ...

President Trump if bare with professional mare
nor do we care about noisy lawyers' scare.

We don't care ...

President Trump owns here and there big, flashy, expensive lair
nor do we care oft behaves hungry impatient bear.

We don't care ...

President Trump gives winking dare
nor do we care for those in fear unblinking stare.

We don't care ...

President Trump may look ripe pear
nor do we care about swinging pair.

We don't care ...

President Trump plays not fair
nor do we care gentlemanliness rare.

We don't care ...

We just don't care.

We thinks and care ...

President Trump won fair and square
thus earned fare and public spare.

We thinks and care ...

President Trump thinks left and right and low and high
and gives the good old-fashioned American try.

We thinks and care ...

President Trump is political pup
but, by God, things home and abroad are sure looking up!

We thinks and care ...

Who 1 nor Who 2 could ask for anything more
alas, President Trump another four.

So ...

We thank you ...

Oh, Mr. Geisel, our wise, witty and wonderful Theodore
you, sir, worldly people - who live, love, laugh, languish, and linger our Seuss-like world - truly adore.

Andy .... love the poem as an act of creativity, but I'm confused. I recall you told me once that the Marine Corp (entire military, I don't know) viewed adultery as a sin. I know the Christian community of churches considers it a sin. I do as well.

Trump is Commander in Chief (that makes him part of the military). And you're saying you as a person don't care if he gets it on with a prostitute (profesional mare) whle his wife is pregnant or home nursing his latest child. You as the poet don't care, I gather. What about you as a Marine?

And for the record, I care. I care about character, moral, ethical character. The means do not justify anything in my mind. Values matter more

Dottie Jean ...

As to those things you cite, of course I (deeply) care.

But President Trump is not in the military so bare (no matter) not crime though commander-in-chief aware.

Now, the administration past, and the one who planned to last, proving awash in crime ...

Do you care, to their illegal slime?

Post Script (to above comment/reply): If being a sinner precluded fitness for the presidency, well, enough said. Criminal activity is another conversation.

Andy, my brother-in-arms, I too love the poem, and I know we both, not just as Marines, but as Americans and God fearing human beings certainly care. But, alas, those with like qualities, do no judge a person of a crime or fault until proven his/her guilt. So Dottie Jean, where's the beef?
