MATH FOR MARINES - SOLVING THE MISSING VARIABLE

A regular reader of this forum without fail sends a short note in response to any commentary mentioning President Obama (held in contempt - for void of character and leadership). The five-words note: "The Great Divider. Manchurian Candidate."

With six years in office, there's not a shred of evidence to refute that position. But something about that recurring note ever leaves me troubled - something is just not quite right.

The answer occurred yesterday - toward the end of a long, rigorous workout.

Framed in an equation...

The Great Divider + Manchurian Candidate = Barack Obama

But a variable's missing...

The Great Divider + Manchurian Candidate + ? = President Barack Obama

Solved...

The Great Divider + Manchurian Candidate + gullibility = President Barack Obama

That is, Barack Obama could certainly be The Great Divider and Manchurian Candidate.

But he could not be president without the gullibility of the American citizenry.

Gullibility (dissection and analysis is another commentary) makes for vulnerability. 

Vulnerable we are - from individual to nation - on the home front and abroad; across sundry spectrums.

That is truth.

As evidence, we live.

The by-design beauty in it all is we, the citizenry, are to blame. It's our fault.

The gullible believe otherwise.

We, The People, can remedy. The variable 'time' will tell whether we cheat gullibility, or not. Will we? If will. True will. And not eyes wide open momentary anger. Nor momentary blind euphoria; a hallmark of gullibility.
